“No army can withstand the strength of an idea whose time has come”

-Victor Hugo

Join renowned, international speaker Dr Gavin Symanowitz as he discusses the science behind innovative thinking and how you, as a South African business leader, can transform your own company by using the practice of thinking differently.

The recipient of numerous global Innovation Awards, Gavin will discuss how to stay relevant in an increasingly competitive world by translating ideas into business tactics.

Aligned to this theme, FlowCentric Technologies will elaborate on the Innovation Hub, an exciting concept that will assist you in moving from Ideation to Shop Floor in your own business.

Gavin Symanowitz, an actuary, headed up Strategic Product Innovation for Investments at First National Bank (recently recognized as the World’s Most Innovative Bank) for over five years. He won the prestigious Innovator of the Year award in 2008, and subsequently left the bank to found a number of revolutionary web-based businesses. One of these, FeedbackRocket (formerly GetAGreatBoss) was recognized as one of the 10 Most Promsing Digital Innovations world-wide, by Netexplorateur, an international organization set up under the auspices of the French Government Ministry for the Digital Economy.

Gavin looks at the problem of success and why it leads to complacency, why successful companies hold onto the status quo, and fail to embrace the big changes that are sometimes necessary. We look at how disruptive innovation happens and the risk of your company getting left behind. And most importantly, we explore what your company can do about it, using simple and effective approaches and tools to change the thinking in your organization, and take it to the next level.
